Schedule

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Knowpa Slaps

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: MC Radioactive

Originating from Boston, MA, Radio Active embodies the essence of hip hop. He is an emcee, beatboxer, writer, painter, and b-boy. He plays musical instruments, incorporates electronic beats with his beatbox and commands active audience participation during his fresh, soulful original live performances.
Innovative to the industry, Radio Active brings hip hop into other genres, a true crossover artist. An electrifying performer, Radio Active has toured extensively the past years throughout North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan as a member of the politically charged musical group Michael Franti & Spearhead to audiences in theaters and festivals upwards of 100,000 people and appearing on national television programs such as David Letterman, Craig Kilborne and on MTV with the critically acclaimed single/video “Rock The Nation.”

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Rojai and the Pocket

Where funk meets soul and love meets grit, the powerful vocal stylings of Jairo Vargas, aka Rojai (Row-Juh), merge elements to produce a raw soulful sound as distinct and unique as the San Francisco streets that bred him. Rojai is the leader & vocalist for the widely recognized and highly acclaimed San Francisco bands Bayonics, The Pocket (formerly Hot Pocket), and Starship Connection. Rojai, a seasoned artist, does what he does best by channeling a sixth sense that only he holds, to move crowds with consistent passion, energy & emotion.

Teaming with some of the best producers locally and worldwide, Rojai puts forth melodies, lyrics and compositions that carry inherent respect for the funk and soul greats that inspired his craft.

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Howard Wiley Band

Howard Wiley has toured internationally, recorded and performed with artists including Miss Lauryn Hill, Sheila E, Cory Henry, Christian McBride, Chester Thompson and more. He is a Founding member of the new Bay Area collective BLACK LONDON, who are currently performing in and around Northern California.
